The stay was absolutely very delightful. The hotel was charming with great breakfasts. Stayed at a spacious room with a shower and to eat in the serene garden, as example. Helpful service, provided by the courteous and exceptional stuff. We appreciated the local cuisine in the restaurant.

Spacious, quiet room, Very easy access to the train station by water bus. Excellent value for the room and location.
Would be nice if breakfast could begin at 7 instead of 7:30, especially for those with very little time in the city.

To find a hotel with an enclosed garden in Venice was a real joy. The city is mostly packed solid with buildings, and many frontages open straight onto the water! Thus the experience of strolling in a quiet, well designed garden was a sheer joy. It was lovely to have breakfast there and to relax whenever you wanted to leave the hustle and bustle of the waterways or the busy streets of the city. The staff were all very, very friendly indeed - at every level - from the management, to the front desk and the catering staff. For us, the location 'Dorsoduro' was a great place to be and the district has it's own charms too. Essentially you could do the more hectic streets by day and stroll back to this quieter neighbourhood towards evening and still find good restaurants and amazing sights. I could not believe that we walked just a few yards from our narrow streets and winding tiny canals, to find ourselves wathcing 15 storey high Cruise Ships coming in to port! Just a really good quality hotel - with the clue in the title - The San Sebastiano garden Hotel.
Take anti-mosquito repellants!

Our accomodations on the first floor with garden view; the garden; location away from the main tourist crowd but within easy walk or vaporetto ride to everything.

The location was quiet. Hotel has lovely garden. Near vaporetta stops. Bring good walking shoes as it is in the quiet area of Venice and that means a bit of hike to the popular sites. However, that means at night and in the mornings it is very quiet. Our room fronting the canal was large and quiet. Hotel had free wifi in the lobby and a dedicated desk top for guest use. The staff was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and arranging for water taxis etc. One thing they could improve on would be the breakfast. Very little selection.
